Description

Pear variety 'Cuiguan' (Pyrus pyrifolia) is a hybrid from koushi× (Hangqing×Xinshiji ) .Cuiguan produces near round, high-quality fruit with a soluble solid of 11~12°Brix. The average weight is 230 grams. It is an ideal early ripening cultivar for the market.

We assembled the P. pyrifolia 'Cuiguan' pear genome based on Illumina short reads, PacBio subreads, and Hi-C data using a hierarchical method.Based on the 17-mer depth distribution of the Illumina reads, we estimated the genome to be 501.34 Mb in length. The final assembled genome (541.34 Mb; contig N50 = 1.28 Mb) included 17 pseudochromosomes . We aligned the Illumina reads to the assembled genome, resulting in mapping of 98.58% of the reads.
